I’ve averaged 1700 calories a day and played tennis 3-4 times a week with some push-ups every day.
That’s it. No low-carb diets. No grapefruit 3 times a day. No
zero-carb, mega-high cholesterol and saturated fat Atkins. No detox, no
cayenne pepper. No quick fixes and no magic pills.
I’ve eaten tacos at Taco Bell, double cheeseburgers at McDonald’s,
chicken sandwiches at Johnny Rockets, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream,
Chinese take-out, popcorn with extra butter at the theater, pork chops
and mashed potatoes, grilled salmon with broccoli and cheese, and fried
chicken with corn on the cob. At the same time I’ve managed to cut my
intake of cholesterol and saturated fat by eating more whole grains and more fiber.
I’ve just eaten less. And exercised.
Amazing, isn’t it?
1700 calories a day, give or take. And regular, vigorous exercise.
